Welcome to my build blog.
To give you some background, this is my second kit car build, and as the title of this blog suggests, I opted for an AK 427 Cobra.
The decision to go with AK is a competely personal one, so I can't say that it should be everyones first choice, but the support from Jon, Wendi and the team, and also the quality of their kit did it for me.
My first kit was a MEV Rocket. As you can see from the picture below, it is an exoskeletal type car. It was powered by a 1.8 litre Ford Zetec engine, but as it only weighed 500kg it was a complete blast to drive!
I learnt a lot building that car, and I think that will stand me in good stead as my Dad and I embark upon our Cobra adventure.
So, the intended spec at the moment is as follows:
- AK 427 Gen II chassis
- Small block Chevy V8, 383 Stroker, 400bhp
- Tremec Magnum 6 speed box
- Gunmetal grey with red stripes
Thanks for reading.
Mark
